practice shooting is
generally on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (Skeet & 5-Stand) mornings from about 9 am to 1 pm
weekly. The shooting days may change in response to activity.
Announcements are handled by email and this web site.
The "U" shaped site is approximately
280 acres in size. The site is located about 4 miles east of Millican,
Oregon at mile post 30 on Oregon highway 20 east. The facility entrance
is on the south side of the highway. The driveway is marked with signage
on the highway shoulder. The facility is approximately 3/4
mile from the highway. A caretaker is on site to control
access and provide security.
ANNOUNCEMENTS (AUGUST 2010)
The all weather
elevated 5-stand shooting field is now open. There are 5 stations at
various elevations offering weather sheltered shooting opportunities for
compact clays target shooting. The clay target presentations include 8
target machines that provide 2 crossing targets, 2 outbound quartering
targets, rabbit, springing teal, a 20’ outbound tower and an incoming
target. Shoot program options vary from all single targets to
combinations of single, on report, following or simultaneous pair
presentations. The 25 target shoot programs can be selected based on
overall squad capabilities (novice (level 1) to advanced (level 3)).
Trap practice
shooting is now Thursdays and Saturdays.
