Membership In The Club Membership** is mandatory to shoot at Bend Trap Club. However, in order to encourage active membership, special "Tournament" and "Range" memberships are available. The tournament is restricted to persons participating in regularly scheduled registered shoots for $1/week. The Range membership is for the occasional shooters that wish to shoot at the club, but decline the annual membership. The daily Range member fee is $5. First time Range membership shooters get the first round free; subsequent rounds are priced at Range member rates of ( $7 for 5-Stand and $4 for Trap/Skeet). An annual fee of $40.00 is all you need to pay to become an associate member. All annual memberships are family based, which covers your spouse and all children under the age of 18 living in the household. If you would like to become a member, please e-mail graftonw@bendcable.com for an application card. Benefits to you, as a member, are low shooting fees ( Trap/Skeet $4.00/rd and 5-Stand $5/rd) and access to reloading components (Associate/General/Life members only). Members receive an additional 10% bonus on their shooting cards when purchasing target values of $40 or more. The newsletter and shoot programs can be sent via e-mail or snail mail. Support is always an important part of any organization hence active membership participation is encouraged. The annual meeting is scheduled (according to club by-laws) on the second Sunday in March. The club is open for practice shooting every Saturday, Sunday(Skeet/5-Stand) and Thursday mornings from 930am until approximately 1 pm each week. Available shooting days subject to change at the discretion of the Board of Directors. A Note To The New Shooter Our Directors and Membership are eager to assist you in learning the sport of Trapshooting, and explain safety rules, club regulations, competitive shooting, leagues, and special events. We have a practice trap available for the new shooter to begin learning how to shoot clay targets. Please feel free to ask any member for their help, or to assist you in finding a Director who can get you started. ** The club recently completed an IRS audit in 2009 that defined membership requirements as well as tracking of all monetary income sources for the club. The audit revealed that since the club is organized as a private member based organization, all participants must be members of the Trap Club. Compliance with IRS guidelines necessitated the implementation of the Tournament and Range memberships in dealing with all non member club visitors.
